FRIENDSHIP

Close to Christmas, and many say 'it's too commercialised', but I wonder when we would contact some of those old friends if we didn't have this opportunity once a year? It's a great time to reach out to forgotten relatives and neighbours who are on their own. I'm not preaching, I'm reminding myself why I send cards, why I make that phone call or have a special lunch date and why friends are important to me. They all have a story to tell and it's nice to listen and to share.
