Happy New Year!

When, as now, Christmas is over and the New Year not yet arrived, many of us decide to take on a new challenge or take a fresh look at what we are doing and how we are doing it. Always, it’s a time when we look at our diets, having spent so many days overeating or drinking! But how long do we keep it up? Perhaps that should be one of our new resolutions – to stick with what we decided was good for us for at least a few months!

You may wonder what this has to do with writing, but I guess its those very weaknesses in us, or strengths, that are great character indicators and books are full of those. I try to keep my characters authentic, and falling into bad ways or letting other people down is just another indication of our human frailties.
